Study Sets

Create and organise vocabulary and collocation sets by language. Sets can include the original word or phrase, translation, Latin-letter pronunciation, and supported language-specific reading marks.

AI-Assisted Set Creation

Create study sets from:

• typed or pasted text;
• camera images;
• photos from your library;
• files and screenshots;
• selected areas of an image.

An internet connection is required for AI-assisted recognition and conversion.

Practice Modes

Study with:

• Flashcards;
• Quiz;
• Match;
• Typing Practice.

The app records remembered cards, Quiz results, Typing results, and learning-difficulty signals.

Reading Assistant

Use photographed or scanned passages for interactive reading practice.

Reading Assistant can provide:

• pronunciation hints;
• contextual phrase translations;
• whole-passage translation;
• Recent and Kept Readings;
• review material generated from requested hints and study results.

Reading preparation may continue securely on the server after submission. When the application becomes active again, completed readings appear in Recent Readings.

Guest and Account Use

You may use Daria Laoshi without creating an account. Guest study data remains associated with that device, except content submitted for AI-assisted processing.

Creating an optional account allows supported study sets, progress, preferences, and reading material to synchronize across your devices.

A reading or study set could not be prepared

Try the following:

1. Confirm that the device has an internet connection.
2. Select a clearer or smaller passage.
3. Avoid including unnecessary margins or unrelated page areas.
4. Try using a tighter image selection.
5. Confirm that the application is updated to the latest version.

A submitted reading is still processing

Open Reading Assistant and check Pending or Recent Readings. Processing may continue after you leave the preparation screen.

Camera is unavailable

Camera access is available on supported iPhone and iPad devices. On Mac, use Photos or Files instead.

Synchronization is unavailable

Your local profile remains available when the service is temporarily offline. Sign in again or use Sync Now when connectivity returns.
